Sitting down with our new Brand Ambassador, Tash

We are so excited to formally welcome Tash to the H.O.W family, and officially as our new Brand Ambassador for 2022. Tash will be working alongside our business to share her thoughts, reviews, tips, and her fave HOW products with her friends and social media followers.
Earlier this week, we sat down with Tash (virtually, of course), so that we could get to know her a bit better, find out what makes her tick, and ask her why she wanted to be a HOW Ambassador. Read on.....

AN INTERVIEW WITH TASH
.
.
Let's start with your social media handle... how can people find you on the gram?
@mycoasthome
 .
What's your professional background?
I'm an Interior Architect working as a Building Consultant! Before that I was an Interior Designer and a Colour Consultant so I have lots of experience int he building and design world, and am loving every second of it!
.
Your home always looks immaculate (as per your IG grid). What's your secret? How do you keep on top of it all? (messy mama home owner in total awe over here). Any tips or tricks you would like to share for those of us who are less than organised?
Haha don't believe everything you see on insta, we only show the best parts! I like to keep it real, and I'll often show the reality of my home during a busy week on my stories, but in saying that, I do try and keep on top of things. I don't have little kids, just one big one (my husband) so it's pretty easy to clean as we go. That way when a deep clean day arrives, it's over and done with pretty quickly.
My best advise would be, don't let things stack up. Instead, set yourself little tasks more often. But of course, if one day you just don't feel like it, don't do it! We're all human! And homes are meant to be lived in after all.
.
.
You have a beautiful instagram account, what's your most and least favourite thing about that platform?
Aw thank you so much! My favourite thing is connecting with my followers and other creatives - I love when people reach out to me to let me know they love what I'm posting, share their ideas, and finding so much inspiration from other people and accounts!
.
My least favourite thing is the pressure that sometimes comes with having an online following. I don't let things bother me very often, and don't feel that I need to try and keep up with other accounts. We are all at different stages in our lives, and it's important to realise that, and turn it into a positive.
And then there's the trolls. I haven't experienced this too much, but I think people see that if you have thousands of followers, you won't see their comments or won't care. But there is still a person behind the account, and we do see! Let's be be kind and support each other!!
.
.
What made you interested in wanting to become a brand ambassador for HOW?
Other than being obsessed with you guys and thinking you're the most aesthetic store on the whole of IG lol, HOW has the most beautiful range of unique products and gifts. There's literally something for everyone!
.
.
What's your favourite HOW product? and what are you most looking forward to trying/using?
I'm obsessed with the quartz towers (actually probably all of the towers haha, they're all beautiful). The Modern Coastal candles and diffusers look incredible, and I also love the Modern Goddess Collection! Sorry, I can't pick only one! There's too many amazing things to pick from.
.
.
What do you do for self care? and what's your best tip for staying mentally healthy during such challenging times?
I think everyone needs to take a bit of time out for themselves doing whatever you might like doing. Watch a guilty pleasure reality show on Netflix, read a soppy novel, go for a scenic walk in your cute new activewear, cook that random but delish meal from the old dusty cookbook in the back of the cupboard. Do something you love... for yourself... by yourself! I love doing all of those things.
My biggest tip for staying mentally healthy is getting out of the house, spending time with people you love, treating yourself and your family every now and then, and most importantly, cut as many negative things out of your life as possible.
.
.
What's the best piece of advise you have ever been given?
Question everything! My dad used to say that to me and my brother all the time when we were little, and it's so funny that it stuck! It's definitely made me seem a bit stubborn at times, because I always want answers and will ask a million questions until I completely understand, and before making any decision in life. But it's so important!
.
.
What are you most looking forward to this year (personally and/or professionally)?
I'm going to sound like that 'new year - new me' girl that gives up on day 2 haha, but I really want to focus on me! I want to form healthier habits, from eating better, to spending my time doing more educational and self-improvement activities. I also want to make more of an effort to go out more and spend time with the people I love. We were locked up for so long last year, and the years before that we had been in hardcore saving mode for the house, that I feel like I've forgotten how to have fun haha.

Professionally, I've just started a new job and want to put my head down, bum up, and double my results from 2021!
.
.
Anything else you would like to share with our audience?
I'm super excited to work with HOW and hope everyone will enjoy my content of the beautiful goodies they have to offer! I just love all things design and styling, and can't wait to create some magic with the most stunning brand by my side.
Tash xx
